Kaitlyn and Jaheim | Lebanon, TN

I love to let my couples write their own engagement blog posts! So I ask a few questions so they can tell their story! Kaitlyn and Jaheim will get married on October 4, 2024 at Grace Valley Farms!

How did you two meet?

We met during our sophomore year of high school when Mrs. Ross, our English teacher, assigned us seats at the same table. I was 15, he was 16.

When did you know each other was “the one”?

Kaitlyn – I secretly had a crush on him and hoped he would be “the one” for a long time and then after we started dating I just knew it by the way he made me laugh and made me smile. Every day at school I would look forward to English class. It feels like I literally found my other half.

Jaheim – I knew she was the one when she would bring me peach sweet tea to English class and liked my truck!

Who did he propose?

Me, Jaheim, my family, and some of our friends and their families were at the beach together and we went to take beach pictures one night. We were all dressed up and I didn’t really think too much about it. I jumped on his back for a picture and everyone was standing around us, I assumed just because we were taking pictures, but turns out they all knew! And then he set me down and got down on one knee! I think I said yes before he could even finish his sentence! Apparently he had the ring for months but was waiting for the perfect moment!

What are you most looking forward to for your wedding day?

Having all of our friends and family there to celebrate this long awaited day. I feel like Jaheim and I have been married for years already so I am excited for it to be official and to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

By the time we get married we will have been dating for 6 years!
