Spring Engagement at Centennial Park

This Spring Engagement at Centennial Park was perfection! It was windy but the weather was beautiful! I met Megan when she was a bridesmaid at Grant and Gracie’s wedding! I LOVE when I get to work with bridesmaids again, especially when they get to be the bride! Here is Megan and Brennen’s story in their own words.

How did you two meet?

Brennen and I met on a dating app at the end of July 2019. My friends, after graduating college at WKU, told me I needed to find my person and I’m never going to find anyone if I don’t try. So my friends set me up on several different dating apps. We sat around one evening laughing, swiping, and them helping try and find my “perfect” match. One of the men that I matched with was Brennen. He asked me out several times before I agreed, I definitely played hard to get. He drove to Bowling Green, KY (where I was living at the time) from White House, TN. Brennen picked me up in his red lifted GMC, which I barely managed to get into being 5’3. We ate at Chuy’s and it was such a good first date that it lead to another.

When did you know each other was “the one”?

I knew Brennen was the one after about our third date. He asked me to go to the Titans/Steelers game with him and I quickly said yes. As a loyal Titans fan I grew up going to games. I quickly found out that he was a Steelers fan when he had on his black and yellow Roethlisburger jersey picking me up. So I knew I must really really like him! All jokes aside he took me to the game and we get there, make it to our seats, and about 5 minutes in the bottom falls out and it pours rain. With no rain gear we are huddled up in the stands just enduring the elements quarter after quarter with neither one of us saying we are cold or ready to go. I think about 3rd quarter with my blue lips he said are you ready to go and I said yes.

We got back to his truck soaking wet and drive back to White House where he asks to stop at his parents house and change his clothes before taking me home. He pulls in his driveway and looks at me and asks me to come inside and meet his parents. Here I am makeup running everywhere, and he’s asking me to come in and meet his parents? That’s how I knew he was the one and that he really liked me. He didn’t care what I looked like, he wanted to introduce me to his parents.

Brennen

There was not a particular event or day that made me say she’s the one. Megan is just so caring and sensitive. She puts her heart and soul into everything she does and has always been a helping hand to me. Goes above and beyond for me and knows how to put up with.

She helped get my lawn care business up and running and continues to be my right hand woman keeping the business side of everything worked out: bills paid, taxes done, and emails sent. She speaks the truth and that’s what I love about her. Megan truly means the world to me and I know I need her in my life forever because over the past 5 years it’s hard to imagine doing life without her.

Who did he propose?

He proposed in what I say is the most Brennen and casual way possible. No one around just us two. He took me out on a date night and we went and ate at Double Dogs (my pick). When we got back home and were sitting down on the couch he came over and kneeled in front of me. Brennen was acting nervous and silly, he said a bunch of sweet things and I asked him “Are you proposing right now” and he pulled the ring out of his pocket and said the line “Will you Marry Me?” Immediately said yes and started FaceTiming family and friends to share the big news. Nothing extravagant. Sweet and simple.

What are you most looking forward to for your wedding day?

I am most looking forward to sharing a day with family and friends in something that is so special – marriage. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle and see my person standing at the other end. Looking forward to seeing Brennen all dressed up because his normal attire is covered in grass as he owns his own lawn and landscaping company. I also am looking forward to seeing the whole wedding vision come together and Brennen seeing me in my dress for the first time.

Any other fun stories or info about you two!

We love taking trips together! Spending our weekends at the lake improving our wake surfing skills. We have a miniature cockapoo named Gunner! Also, we love the gun range, Mexican food, and lazy nights in with a home cooked meal and a good movie!
