This Compton Caves Fall Engagement Session was one for the books! I love to have my couples write their engagement session blogs, so I send them questions and they get to answer from their perspective. I have known Sam since he was in high school. I met Mattie at their engagement session for the first time, and she is a GEM! These two just fit together perfectly and their love is very evident. We met at Compton Caves in Murfreesboro for their engagement session and it was the perfect location for them.
Sam and I met at MTSU through Greek life. Our fraternity and sorority were homecoming partners. I was the homecoming chair for my sorority so we met while working on the float.
Mattie- The first time I knew Sam was the one was when we traveled together. We always have the best time traveling.
Sam- There wasn’t one specific moment I knew Mattie was the one but throughout our journey, she has been the most genuine, caring, and thoughtful person I’ve met. Although we have opposing personalities, we complement each other in our own family special way. She’s also not bad on the eyes either!
Sam proposed while we were on a trip to the beach with my sister and my niece. It was a total surprise! We were going down to the beach to take pictures before dinner and I looked over and he just knelt down and asked the question. It was so sweet you could tell he was nervous because everybody on the beach was watching.
I can’t wait to see Sam‘s face when he sees me walking down. We are really looking forward to celebrating with all our family and friends, and cherishing our time together! And of course tearing up the dance floor!
We recently adopted two little fur baby kittens, Eleanor Rigby and Sgt. Peppers (big Beatles fan) and it’s been so fun. Everyday Sam comes home and says hello ladies and they just run right to him.
