Romantic Rainy Engagement session

Courtney and Graham | Lebanon, TN

This Romantic Rainy Engagement session was everything! Courtney and Graham are getting married on NYE at The Venue at Birchwood and I am counting down the days! I have known Courtney since she was in high school, I was actually her cheerleading coach! I am so happy she has found her person!! My favorite thing to do for engagement session blogs if to have my couples help write theirs, so here are their responses.

How did you two meet?

An online dating app called Bumble.

When did you know each other was “the one”?

Graham: About 3 months in to dating I started to realize that everything just felt right. The way she looked at me felt right. We are able to talk about anything, felt right. The fact that we like a lot of the same things and have similar values felt right. I could just be myself with no stress or worry that she would love me. It just felt right.

Courtney: I knew Graham was the one when I realized how calm I was around him. He loves so genuinely, he is kind and patient with me on my worst days. Graham truly is everything I’ve ever prayed for in a husband and more. He pushes me every day to be a better person and a better Christ follower. I knew he was the one when I realized that he makes everything feels possible, even when we are in the valleys of life.

Who did he propose?

Graham proposed the day after our anniversary on our family beach trip in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We walked down the beach a little bit while he talked to be about our previous year together and what he hoped our future would look like together. Then he stopped and got down on one knee and proposed! It was the most special moment we’ve shared and I’m thankful that I get to spend forever with him!

What are you most looking forward to for your wedding day?

Graham: The moment I get to look into my Wife’s eyes and give her a kiss.

Courtney: I’m most excited about marrying the man of my dreams! I can’t wait to be surrounded by all of our favorite people and celebrating what God has done to bring us all together and celebrating our future!

Any other fun stories or info about you two!

We spend a lot of our time together cooking. It’s a way that we both get to forget about everything else and just laugh and work together to create fun dishes and focus on our time together! I didn’t tell my family about Graham when I first met him. After a few months of talking/getting to know each other, I cut my hand at his house while we were cooking. He ended up having to take me to the emergency room and that’s where he met my mom for the first time. She was not happy that I was “hanging out with a stranger” but about 3 months later, she was asking when we were getting married, haha. Needless to say, he’s family approved and now they know he can handle my dramatic self!
