Wedding Day

Matthew and Lynsey’s wedding took place on a perfect April day.  Simple, yet elegant was a perfect description of the day.  

How we met

I met Lynsey, her mom, and her soon to be Mother In Law at a Starbucks and knew instantly that I wanted to be her wedding photographer!  She was so sweet and when she talked about Matthew I knew she was IN LOVE! They all told me Matthew hated to have pictures taken, but I knew I was up for the challenge. 

I met Matthew at their engagement session and he was great!  Their interactions were so natural and they even brought their sweet puppy for a bit of the session!

Their day

Lynsey and Matthew could not have picked a more perfect day in April for their wedding day.  The weather was amazing and every detail was perfect!  They were married at their small town church, South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church.

Lynsey wore a beautiful white dress from David’s Bridal with the most stunning heels from Betsey Johnson!

Lynsey created their invitations and they fit the wedding perfectly! 

Her bouquet was the most amazing sunflowers that were wrapped with burlap and bows along the stems.

Lynsey decided to “announce they were expecting” to her groom right before the ceremony!  Matthew has always wanted a boxer so Lynsey bought a puppy for his wedding gift!  She announced it with an ultrasound photo and a photo of the mom and dad!

Lynsey is one of the craftiest people I know!  She actually made me the most beautiful tree skirt this past Christmas and she even baked their wedding cakes!  It only seemed fitting that Matthew would gift his bride a new sewing/ embroidery  machine for her wedding gift!  I am sure she is already putting it to good use!

Lynsey wore pearls that have been passed down in her family.  Her sweet mom put them on her and fought back tears the whole time.

The bridesmaids wore navy blue knee length, one shoulder dresses.  The tops were lace and were so fun and beautiful!

Daddy/ Daughter First look:

A daddy/ daughter first look gets me every time and this one was no different!  Lynsey’s mom led her dad out of the church doors to see his baby girl ready to get married!  It was such an emotional moment for everyone.

First look:

First looks are always a favorite!  A few minutes just before the ceremony for the bride and groom to see each other, take it all in, and of course grab a few priceless photos!

They are married!  Vows have been read, rings have been exchanged, and then sealed with a kiss!  The new Mr. and Mrs. Matthew White!

These 2 amazing cakes were made by the bride!  As if she didn’t have enough to do, she made her own wedding cakes!  Oh, and did I mention they tasted amazing!!
