Hey future brides!
Today I’m sharing about one of the most exciting parts of the wedding day: getting ready! This is when it all starts to feel REAL… you’re finishing your hair and makeup, and then you finally put on your wedding dress! This is such an exciting time but, there are definitely a few things to keep in mind so that your photos end up as beautiful as those moments. Here are my top 4 tips for beautiful getting ready photos:

- Give yourself plenty of time. The last thing you want to feel on your wedding day is rushed. Work with your planner and photographer on a timeline that allows plenty of time (and some extra) so you can enjoy this time. You also want to give your photographer a chance to take some creative photos of you getting ready!
- Choose a space with lots of natural light. This means a lot of windows, and BIG windows if at all possible! If you can choose a space that has a lot of light pouring in, your photos will be beautiful! Not only will your photographer love it, but so will your makeup artist!
- Ask your bridesmaids to help keep the space clean. Remind your bridesmaids before the big day to try to keep the space as tidy as possible. It’s not a huge deal if things get a little messy- but it’s always nice to have other people helping to keep a nice clean space.
- Give yourself a lot of room. If possible, choose a room where you have plenty of room, especially if you have a larger bridal party. Ideally, you’ll want space to have you and your girls getting ready and still some space for your dress to hang, the photographer to take detail photos, etc. The more room, the better! If you have options, always go for the bigger space (as long as there is also natural light available)!
