A Spring Wedding to Remember: Kendal & Wesley at The Estate at Cherokee Dock

Nestled on the scenic shores of Old Hickory Lake, The Estate at Cherokee Dock was the perfect backdrop for Kendal and Wesley’s spring wedding day—full of charm, love, laughter, and a few unexpected surprises.

The day started in true Southern fashion. Kendal and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready inside the stunning bridal suite, surrounded by beautiful light, music, and mimosas. Meanwhile, the guys took a more laid-back approach, hanging out and soaking in the energy of the day just a few steps away.

One of the most memorable parts of the morning was Kendal’s series of emotional first looks. First, with her two beloved dogs—yes, they were dressed for the occasion and completely stole the show. Then, a tender moment with her dad that had everyone tearing up. Finally, she saw Wesley for the first time that day, and the look on his face said everything. It was a beautiful, quiet moment that felt like time stood still.

After their first look, we explored the grounds for portraits, capturing those golden springtime tones against the estate’s lush gardens and waterfront views. Their bridal party joined in soon after, adding energy and color to every frame—laughter, cheers, and so much fun.

Just as we were wrapping up photos, the sky darkened and sirens began to sound. A tornado warning sent everyone to the basement, where Kendal, Wesley, their wedding party, and guests waited it out together. While it wasn’t part of the original timeline, the unexpected pause only added to the story of the day—and made the eventual ceremony feel that much more special.

The Ceremony

Once we got the all clear the ceremony began. Set against the backdrop of the estate’s grand lawn and lake, Kendal and Wesley exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was heartfelt and joy-filled—a perfect reflection of their journey together.

After the ceremony, we captured family portraits while the guests made their way to the reception. Kendal and Wesley slipped away for a private dinner, just the two of them, soaking in a quiet moment together before the celebration really took off.

And when it did—it really did.

The dance floor opened, and guests were surprised with custom trucker hats designed by the couple. The hats were a hit, creating a fun, festive vibe that had everyone out of their seats. From the first dance to the last, it was nonstop energy and love.

As the night wound down, Kendal and Wesley shared a private last dance, just the two of them, holding each other close in the soft glow of the reception lights. Then, surrounded by bubbles and cheers, they made their grand exit—officially ending one of the most memorable wedding days we’ve ever seen.

To Kendal and Wesley: your day was a perfect mix of romance, resilience, and celebration. Thank you for letting us be part of such an incredible chapter in your love story. Here’s to forever and a day (and to never forgetting to laugh through the chaos).
