Matthew and Lynsey Engagement Session

Engagement session

Matthew and Lynsey’s engagement session was a beautiful fall day.

I met Lynsey, her mom, and mother-in-law at a Starbucks about a month ago.  She was a referral from a friend, and I knew instantly I wanted to be her wedding photographer.  She smiled the entire meeting, especially when she talked about Matthew!

Lynsey and Matthew met in high school and started dating their senior year.  High school sweethearts, how cute is that!  That was October of 2009, when they tie the knot on April 27, 2019 they will have been together almost a decade.  Lynsey was given a scavenger hunt for her birthday to find her “presents”, the last clue led her to Matthew.  He was waiting with a beautiful ring and the most important question Lynsey will ever be asked.  “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”  Of course she said YES.

They chose a beautiful location for their engagement session.  We went to Cordell Hull Lake in Carthage, TN and it was spectacular.  The rains cleared just before we started and the weather was The colors of fall were just starting to peek thru and there was water and mountains everywhere you looked.  They knew some of the best “hidden gem” spots around!  Their sweet dog, Lily even made an appearance and stole the show!  She was a natural in front of the camera and had me laughing the whole time.

Their wedding will be at the Do Re Mi Retreat in Hartsville, TN.  Lynsey is planning a beautiful palette of Navy with hints of sunflowers and burlap, which screams a beautiful southern wedding!  One of the most unique details of their wedding is Lynsey is making their wedding cake!  She is an amazing baker, so it is only fitting that she make their cake.

Look at that view!

Look at that face! Is she not the cutest.

This was my favorite location, and it was last! Perfect ending to a perfect day!

A perfect spot.

Matthew and Lynsey actually first went together in 8th grade. They broke up but found each other again senior year.
