A family New Years Eve party is the perfect place for a surprise New Year’s Eve proposal! Halle’s family and friends were all there and Mason’s family was hiding in a stairwell! I love these first couple photos, because Halle has no idea that her world is about to change forever!

Their story

Mason and Halle met through a mutual friend when she was a sophomore and he was a junior in college. He was at Cumberland and she was at University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and they both thought they weren’t looking for anything serious and weren’t interested in a long distance relationship! Well, the universe had its way of bringing them together! Somehow over the years they just kept running into each other when he would visit his friends in Chattanooga or when she would come home to Mt. Juliet for the weekend.

They ran into each other one night of thanksgiving break in 2017. They spent the whole night talking, laughing, dancing and ended it with a lovely meal at the Waffle House. 😂 They have basically been inseparable since then and their family and friends instantly approved! When you ask Halle to describe Mason she says “he the easiest person in the world to love, he is kind, smart, supportive, and is always going out of his way to help others.” How sweet is that!

The night

I was so nervous taking “photo booth” pictures of different groups! Finally it was their turn! After Mason dropped to his knee and asked Halle to be his WIFE they celebrated with their family and friends! A New Year’s Eve proposal is a great way to ring in the new year!!

They have so many beautiful examples of marriage between the two of their families, and have really been shown what love is and how rewarding it can be!
