This Snowy Engagement Session was perfect! Here is Owen and Emma’s story!!

How did you two meet?

Owen and I randomly met on the beach one day when he lived in Florida. One thing I have always loved about him is that he can spark a conversation with anyone out of nowhere and that’s what he did with me on that day. We immediately hit it off and never stopped seeing each other after that. He really just swept me off my feet that day and I couldn’t get enough of him.

When did you know each other was “the one”?

Emma- “There are a couple of reasons why I knew Owen was the one. He makes me feel safe and I can always be open and honest with him. We both trust each other completely, and I can always rely on him. I’ve never met a man who could do that for me other than my dad, and that’s why I love him so much.”

Owen- I always knew the kind of woman I wanted to marry growing up and that is a woman who loves me, loves what I like to do, and wants to do those things with me. She is excited to learn more about all the really great ideas that I have. More importantly than that, someone who listens to me and at least tries to understand me because I know how difficult that can be. She was the only one I cared to tell anything too because of the enjoyment that her reactions brought to me.

What sealed the deal for me was when I had to have the long dreaded conversation with her explaining that I was moving to back to TN to join the family business and she said “Well you know I’m coming with you right?” it was then that I knew, ok this woman will go anywhere with me no matter how spontaneous that I want to be and will not keep us from living the life I had always dreamed about me and my wife having.”

Who did he propose?

Owen proposed on our cruise trip throughout the Caribbean back in August of 2023. One of the days, we went on a dune buggy ride all over the island of Cozumel, Mexico. While driving around the island, we first stopped to go snorkeling over a beautiful coral reef, then, we stopped on a private beach to go for a walk. Owen asked me to Marry him in front of the beautiful bright blue waters. I could tell Owen was a little nervous, but of course, I said yes right away and celebrated the rest of our cruise. We had an amazing time, and it was a very memorable trip for both of us.

What are you most looking forward to for your wedding day?

What we are most looking forward to for our wedding day is getting married to the love of our lives while also being surrounded by our closest family and friends, who we get to celebrate with!

We just recently bought our first home together in Carthage, Tennessee, and are parents to two puppies, Harley and Lady, who are so spoiled and loved so much.
